The medical value of hope

It is fascinating that there is such a thing as the placebo effect. The necessity of double blinded trials shows us that there is some value in doing SOMETHING even if that thing has no intrinsic value on its own.

    I cannot do a blinded trial on myself - I'll just have to try my best at observing any potential impact objectively.
